In Nov. 2020, it was announced pre-production was underway on a sequel to 2010's Australian shark movie The Reef with filmmaker Andrew Traucki returning to direct. The sequel from AMP Films is currently titled The Reef: Stalked. In addition to directing, Traucki also wrote the script. The film has a planned release sometime in the Summer of 2022.
